The 2006 Metropolitan ball was held on
May 5, 2006 at the city's landmark New York
Athletic Club, located on Central Park South
at Seventh Avenue. Former
Massachusetts Governor William Weld was the
evenings honoree and longtime Met Club
Member and former Assemblyman John Ravitz
was presented with the Senator Roy M. Goodman Award
for his contribution to the local Republican
